Kylie Minogue

Charlotte Church has reportedly slammed Kylie Minogue, saying she doesn't give 'a f**k' about her.

Pamela Anderson has protested against plans to put Colonel Sanders on a stamp. The actress - an active member of animal rights group PETA - has written an angry letter to the US Postmaster General blasting the request of fast-food chain Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC). She wrote: "Honouring a man whose legacy involves breaking animals' bones and scalding animals to death in defeathering tanks is contrary to the values of most compassionate citizens, and I hope that you'll deny KFC's request. How about another Elvis stamp instead?" This not the first time the former 'Baywatch' star has protested against the fast-food giant. Last year, Pamela called for a Colonel Sanders statue to be destroyed because it was a daily reminder of cruelty to chickens. Pamela, who petitioned Governor of Kentucky Ernie Fletcher on behalf of PETA, wrote: "The bust of Colonel Sanders stands as a monument to cruelty and has no place in the Kentucky State Capitol." Pamela also accused KFC bosses of "mutilating God's creatures" by fattening chickens up to make succulent burgers. The 39-year-old's request was rejected by Governor Fletcher, who described Sanders as a "Kentucky icon".

Kylie Minogue adds new date to replace cancelled show

Kylie Minogue has added an extra date to her tour after cutting short a concert last Saturday (13.01.07). Fans of the Spinning Around singer - who halted her performance in Manchester's MEN Arena because of flu - can now use their tickets to attend another show next Tuesday (23.01.07). Kylie said: "I would like to apologise to those who attended last Saturday night's show. I was hoping to feel better as the day went on but, unfortunately, the opposite was true. I'm sorry for all those who were inconvenienced by the postponements." The diminutive singer's actions last Saturday sparked concern among her family and friends who believe she is trying to do too much too soon after winning her battle with breast cancer last year. A source said: "It's awoken some of our worst fears again. There are definite concerns she has taken on too much and can't cope with this pace. "Everyone gets flu from time to time. But during the initial months after beating cancer, it's vital to keep well." The Manchester concert was her 29th show of a gruelling 33-date tour of the UK and Australia.

Sick Kylie Minogue reschedules canceled shows

Millions of Kylie Minogue fans have been inspired by the singer's successful battle with breast cancer, and after a popular comeback tour in her native Australia, Minogue brought her Showgirl show on tour to the UK. On December 31, 2006, Kylie Minogue dazzled fans at London's Wembley Stadium, as she added an extra concert onto her UK tour, just to ring in the new year with fans. After several more performances at Wembley Stadium, Kylie headed off to Manchester and the MEN Arena, where she was set to play six more concerts.

On Saturday, Kylie Minogue was forced to leave the stage after just 45 minutes of her show. After her forced withdrawal, Kylie headed off to see a doctor about her condition, which the Telegraph described as a "moderately severe" respitory tract infection, according to Minogue's management. As a result of her illness, Kylie Minogue was forced to cancel the next two concerts at Manchester's MEN Arena, which were scheduled for Jan. 15 and 16. While Kylie has been forced to postpone her next two concerts, they have been rescheduled for January 21 and 22 and the Manchester Evening News Arena, according to a spokesperson for EMI.

Ireland On-Line quoted a spokesperson for Kylie Minogue, who said, "After being forced to pull out early from Saturday night's Showgirl Homecoming performance at the Manchester Evening News Arena due to a moderately severe respiratory tract infection, doctors have insisted that Kylie Minogue not perform in the immediate future. We currently anticipate that Thursday and Friday nights' shows will not be affected. Whilst we await the all clear from her doctors we wish her a speedy recovery and hope to be able to confirm her return to the stage soon." It is not yet known if Saturday's show, in which Kylie left the stage after just 45 minutes, will be replayed or if a refund would be offered.

Kylie Minogue launched the UK leg of her Showgirl Homecoming tour on New Year's Eve in front of a jam-packed Wembley Stadium in London. Since then, Kylie went on to perform six more times at Wembley Stadium before heading off to Manchester on her 33-date tour, the singer's first tour since recovering from breast cancer. However, when Minogue took ill on stage, friends and family worried that the Australian singer was doing too much too soon. A source was quoted by Britain's The Sun as saying, "'s awoken some of our worst fears again. There are definite concerns she has taken on too much and can't cope with this pace. Everyone gets flu from time to time. But during the initial months after beating cancer, it's vital to keep well. When Kylie announced she wanted to tour again, there was concern among her friends and family that it was too much, too soon."

Minogue was forced to postpone her original Showgirl world tour after she was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2005. Two days after she announced the cancer, Kylie Minogue underwent surgery in Australia, and underwent chemotherapy until December 2005. Kylie's comeback tour has been less energetic than some of her pre-cancer shows, which is to be expected as the singer finishes off her recovery. The new show has a built-in interval, BBC reports, because the singer is not yet fully fit. Kylie's record label, Parlophone, has said Minogue is working on new material which may be ready for

release in 2007.
