Jennifer Garner dropped a diamond ring given to her by husband Ben Affleck down a drain.

The 'Catch and Release' star was given the expensive rock by her husband after she gave birth to their one-year-old daughter Violet, but almost lost it when it accidentally fell off. In an interview on US TV show 'Live With Regis and Kelly', Jennifer said: "He gave me this beautiful diamond ring and I was playing with it and it fell off. It fell under this ice maker in the house - Ben hasn't even heard of this yet - and it fell into the drain under this ice maker. "The plumber had to come and dismantle the thing from under the house. And he found it. Ben doesn't even know about this! I should have warned him." The 34-year-old actress got the ring back without her husband knowing how it was almost lost, as she was flashing the sparkler at the premiere of her new film 'Catch and Release' with Kevin Smith. Ben, also 34, and Jennifer were married in June 2005.

NEW YORK (AP) — Jennifer Garner revealed a secret Wednesday that she'd been keeping from Ben Affleck: She nearly lost a ring he had given her after the birth of their 1-year-old daughter, Violet. Garner, who stars in Columbia Pictures' "Catch and Release," said the mishap occurred while she was primping for the movie's premiere. "He gave me this beautiful diamond ring and I was playing with it and ... it fell off. And it fell under this ice maker in the house — he (Affleck) hasn't even heard of this yet — and ... it fell into the drain under this ice maker," the 34-year-old actress said on "Live With Regis and Kelly." "And the plumber had to come and dismantle the thing from under the house. And he found it," she said, holding up her hand to flash the sparkler.

MoviesOnline had an opportunity to sit down and talk to Jennifer Garner about her upcoming role in Catch & Release. JENNIFER GARNER who plays "Gray" is a Charleston, West Virginia native, is a Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild, and People’s Choice Award-winning actress for her performance in "Alias.” Over the course of the show’s five-season run, Garner was nominated four times for an Emmy, four times for a Golden Globe, and twice for a Screen Actors Guild Award for her role as Sydney Bristow.

Garner recently wrapped production on The Kingdom, in which she stars alongside Jamie Foxx and Jason Bateman. The film follows a team of U.S. government agents who are sent to investigate the bombing of an American facility in the Middle East. It is slated for release on April 7th, 2007. In 2005, Garner started her own production company with her personal assistant of many years, Juliana Janes. The company, Vandalia Films, is named after the original name for Jennifer’s home state of West Virginia. Vandalia Films is slated to produce Be with You and Christmas in Connecticut. Garner’s film credits include Revolution Studios’ smash hit 13 Going On 30.

She was most recently seen in Elektra, the sequel to the hit action film Daredevil, in which she also starred opposite Ben Affleck. Other film credits include Pearl Harbor, in which she co-starred with Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett. Garner was also seen in the comedy Dude, Where’s My Car?, Mr. Magoo, Deconstructing Harry, 1999, and Washington Square. Her television credits include series regular roles in the Jennifer Love Hewitt drama "Time of Her Life” and the Bright/Kaufman/Krane drama "Significant Others.” She also appeared in a recurring role on "Felicity.” She has guest starred on "Spin City” and "Law & Order” and has been featured in the television films "Rose Hill,” "Dead Man’s Walk,” "Zoya,” and "Harvest of Fire.”

Jennifer Garner Was Relieved To Be Cut From Golden Globes Telecast

Jennifer Garner was thrilled to be cut out of the Golden Globe Awards telecast last Monday because she feared she would fall onstage after a near-miss at the Academy Awards last year. The star was scheduled to introduce a film clip in the best picture category, but was bumped when the show started to run late. She explains, "I was supposed to present the clip for Little Children, which is a beautiful movie and I was really excited to present the clip, except I slipped the last time I presented at the Oscars and almost fell on my tookus. I never get nervous doing stuff like that, but that kind of shook me a little bit. "Then I was a bridesmaid this summer at my friend's wedding and I slipped going down the aisle in a big way. Then it started to be a psychosomatic thing. I was sure that I was going to slip, I was backstage, sweating, going over what I was supposed to say and I had taped my shoes onto my feet. "They (the producers) came running back and said, 'We've run out of time! We're running late, can we cut you? We're so sorry! Are you upset?' I was like, 'That's great! That's fine! Sorry 'Little Children,' but I'm thrilled to not have to walk out there!'

This is the first time we've chatted with cute and friendly Jen Garner since she became Mrs. Ben Affleck and had new, now year old baby daughter Violet. Yes, she's totally in shape again and looks great! At the lovely Santa Monica beach hotel Casa Del Mar, Jen met with us to talk about her new romantic dramady Catch and Release in which she plays a young woman whose fiance dies just before their wedding. Turns out the fellow was keeping some pretty hefty secrets from his intended. In black Stella McCartney pants and a dark gray, puffy sleeved, empire waisted top with black piping by Juicy, Jennifer looked very feminine. As usual, she wears little make-up, had her hair pulled back and likes to "talk" with her hands. No flashy diamond sparkler there; just a classy, plain wedding band. Jennifer is cooperative as usual, even turning over the tape in our recorder when it ran out mid-interview. We thanked her, "Hey babe, it's okay. This isn't my first picnic". Yep, she knows how to handle the press. Jen talked about her heartbreak at the end of her long-running "Alias" series and some Jen/Ben stuff as well...like Ben's chuckling as he writes e-mails. Fellow "Catch" castmate, actor/director Kevin Smith, an Affleck buddy, says Ben was a regular visitor on the set and, he knew something was cooking bigtime between the two Daredevil co-stars. We knew that Catch and Release had been awaiting release for a while so we started with that. It has something to do with Jennifer being an exhausted new mom and ending her long-running TV show...
