Diane Lane"Hollywoodland" on DVD!Based on the true story of Hollywood’s most notorious unsolved mystery, Hollywoodland is a tale of glamour, scandal, and corruption in 1950’s Los Angeles. When George Reeves (Ben Affleck), star of TV’s Adventures of Superman, is found dead in his home, millions of fans are shocked by the circumstances of his death. The police and the studio bosses want the case closed as a suicide, but rumors linger. Louis Simo (Adrien Brody), a private investigator, picks up the trail and begins to piece together the actor’s last, tension-filled days. Who pulled the trigger? Was it the seductive yet scheming fiancé, the spurned lover (Diane Lane), the enraged husband (Bob Hoskins), or was it Reeves himself? Crying It Out - Things You Really Need To Know
Remember the scene in the movie "Lonesome Dove" after Gus (played by Richard Duval) saved Laurie (played by Diane Lane), who had been abducted and assaulted. Since her rescue she had been unable to speak, and they were camping on the way to join their friends on a cattle drive to Montana. They particularly enjoyed playing the game of poker together so he set up a table and cards for them to play. The beautiful memories of pleasant times brought tears in her eyes. He hugged her close in his arms and gently told her to let them flow, to cry it all out; saying something to the effect that what happened was in the past and that was the way to keep it in the past so it wouldn't follow her the rest of her life. Sandy Bullock To Kiss & TangoRemember Under The Tuscan Sun, that Diane Lane movie from a couple of years back about a career woman who takes herself off to Italy to start a new life? Well, here it is again – only with Sandra Bullock – and in Argentina! Yes, Bullock will star in and produce Kiss & Tango, based on a true story about Marina Palmer, a career woman (in this case, an ad exec) who, bored with the meaningless humdrum of her high-flying life in Noo Yawk, takes herself off to Buenos Aires, where she meets a hunky man, starts a new life, and writes a best-selling book about her experiences that gets turned into a movie produced by and starring Sandra Bullock. Wow. Denise Di Novi will co-produce the flick with Sandy Bullock, while Nicole Perlman is in talks to write the script. Empire’s always had a soft spot for Bullock – she's an excellent light comedienne, and cute as a button still – but it’s hard to drum up much enthusiasm for Kiss & Tango, when it seems like something we’ve seen before, several times. Perhaps we’ll be pleasantly surprised. But we’ll tell you this: if Bullock had signed on for a movie in which her high-flying ad executive quits her job, moves to Buenos Aires and there teams up with two mis-matched cops trying to bust a drug ring, then we’d be quaking with excitement. Kiss & Tango & Cash, anyone? Film crews hope to make a 'Kill Shot' in Port Perry
PORT PERRY -- It will be business as usual in Port Perry's downtown core this Saturday, with the exception of film crews attempting to recreate the small-town feel of Missouri. Odds and ends of filming for the feature flick 'Kill Shot' is expected to begin around 7 a.m. on Jan. 9 along Queen Street but any interruptions for those working, shopping or just strolling through the downtown core will be minimal, pledges the Township's film liaison officer. "All the stores will be open, they will only be holding traffic intermittently, including sidewalk traffic," says Deborah Tiffin of the one-day shoot. "It will be totally integrated with what is normally happening (on Port Perry's streets during weekends)." The crews will be on hand to reshoot some scenes for the upcoming feature film 'Kill Shot', which stars Mickey Rourke and Diane Lane. Ms. Lane is expected to be on hand for portions of the shoot in Port Perry. The film centres around Ms. Lane's character and her husband, who are placed in the Federal Witness Protection program after witnessing an extortion scheme go wrong. Their past, however, catches up with them as they are targeted by an experienced intimidating hit man, played by Mr. Rourke, and a psychopathic young upstart killer. "They're really just here to grab the look of the street, which matches a small town in Missouri. They want to just take in the general ambience of (Queen Street), they want to capture the character of the street," says Ms. Tiffin, stressing the crews will almost exclusively find themselves in and around Brock's On Foot and outside of the Port Perry Post Office. "They're not going to have a direct impact on anyone else. They're not really going to impact any other businesses," she added. Deals have been struck with the two Queen Street businesses, as well as the Port Perry BIA and the Township for parking, says Ms. Tiffin. As well, the Latcham Centre has been rented and will serve as a mess hall for the film crew. While "everything, of course, is weather dependent," Ms. Tiffin says that "worse-case scenario, they'll be done by 5 p.m." and will not shoot during the evening hours. And, while most people are familiar with such high-profile names as Diane Lane and Mickey Rourke, Ms. Tiffin notes that there'll be plenty of top-drawer talent on the other side of the camera as well. Well-known director John Madden (Shakespeare in Love) will helm the film and cinematographer Caleb Deschanel will make a return trip to Scugog, years after filming 'Fly Away Home'. "There's some pretty high-powered talent coming" to Scugog, says Ms. Tiffin. Diane Lane | Diane Lane 1 | Diane Lane 3 | Diane Lane 4 | Diane Lane 5 | Diane Lane 6 | Diane Lane 7 | Diane Lane 8
