(BANG) -Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake split because the singer cast Scarlett Johansson in one of his music videos, it has been claimed. Cameron - whose four-year relationship with the 'SexyBack' singer came to an end shortly before Christmas - was allegedly furious when Justin chose Scarlett to play his love interest in the promo for 'What Goes Around'. The couple's relationship was already struggling and Justin's casting decision was believed to be the final straw. A source told Britain's Heat magazine: "When Justin cast Scarlett, Cameron felt it was the first time another person was involved. She can get very angry and very jealous. "When she knew the other person was possibly Scarlett, she was furious. The two women have never really been good friends, plus Scarlett had a relationship with Jared Leto, who Cameron had previously dated for four years." Since the break-up, Cameron - who has recently been linked to champion surfer Kelly Slater - has apparently turned to her 'Charlie's Angels' co-star Drew Barrymore for support. The source added: "They have a lot in common, as Drew just broke up with her boyfriend of five years, Fabrizio Moretti. Cameron is emotionally distressed but Drew told her, 'Time heals all. Justin was probably not the right person for you.' " Justin and Scarlett were recently spotted partying together at the post-premiere party of his new film 'Alpha Dog' at the exclusive Social Hollywood club.

Former solid couple Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz should have been able to split amicably with
the handy Hollywood mantra of 'we still love each other' and 'we will remain friends' that so often is
spilled out from publicists. And though it appeared to start that way it didn't take long until reports of
friction emerged.

According to Us Weekly the pair went at it when Cam flew into what is being called a jealous attack.

The weekly entertainment magazine reports Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel after the Globes and
were getting all touchy-feely and a continuing a flirtation that had already begun earlier that night. When
the friendly chatting spilled over into the Prince after party at the Sunset Towers, it reportedly hit the fan
with Cam and JT.
Here's the account from Us: Cameron Diaz couldn’t help but stare at her one-time man chatting up the
gorgeous Jessica. “Cameron was across the room giving them the evil eye,” a party source tells the
magazine. “It was like high school.”
Another witness says that pal Drew Barrymore even attempted to distract Diaz from her ex’s hookup-in-
progress with Biel, “grabbing Cameron to dance, trying to make her have fun.”

The report continues: What Diaz did next, barely five days after announcing an amicable split with
Timberlake, her boyfriend of nearly four years, shocked the whole room. “All of a sudden she just lost
it,” says one of the many witnesses to the tantrum of Diaz. “She came up and started yelling at Jessica.”
According to a witness, Biel, 24, stepped away, leaving Diaz, 34, to unleash her fury on Timberlake, 25,
who moved with her into a hallway.

A guest tells Us, “First she started saying all these nasty things to him about Jessica like, ‘What is she?
Your new f-bomb girlfriend? Look at her!’ And then she insinuated things about other guys that Jessica
has been with.”
According to the magazine report the tirade went on for 45 minutes, until Barrymore finally intervened.
Says a source, “Drew had to grab Cameron and say, ‘It’s enough.’”

Whew, hard to believe there is no camera phone footage. JT is now on tour while Cam bailed to Hawaii
to spend some quality time with surfer pal Kelly Slater. What will round two be like if these two are
again together at an A-list event?

Five out of six celeb weeklies agree:Cameron Diaz ripped recent ex Justin Timberlake a new one at Prince's Golden Globe after-party on January 15. Apparently, the trouble started when the Shrek The Third actress thought Justin was getting too cozy with Seventh Heaven reject Jessica Biel. Cam marched over and showed that her rage isn't limited to punching out camera-clicking paparazzi—thus breaking the cardinal rule of fame: Never engage in public bickering at a party where every wannabe-actress/ waitress is supplementing her income selling tips to the tabs.

While the waitresses and coat check girls on the payroll at Us Weekly and OK! say Cameron's tongue-lashing lasted 45 minutes, Life & Style and People's stalker/waitresses clock the spat at 40, but they add the un-attributed detail that Justin "reportedly" punched a cabinet in frustration. Us, on the other hand, has Cam's Charlie's Angels co-star Drew Barrymore stepping in to break up the row (the recently de-Stroked Barrymore has break-up experience). "Pals" selling out Cam say she'd "kill" to reunite with the SexyBack singer. But Justin's boys advise In Touch that he's "a kid in a candy store," flirting with Scarlett Johansson, erstwhile gal pal Alyssa Milano, and one of Kate Hudson's Q-list friends. Too busy answering the "to Boca or not to Boca" question, Star forgot to bribe anyone on the party staff. They skipped the spat entirely and fast-forwarded to Cameron's Hawaiian vacay with prematurely bald surfing champ Kelly Slater. Star, L&S, and In Touch keep the pair at "good friends," but racy Us, find the "source" angry enough at Cam to acknowledge "sleepovers."
