Beyonce Gives The Scoop On Shakira Duet, Revamped B'Day
LOS ANGELES, CA Tuesday Jan.30.2007 /netmusiccountdown.com/ --
Beyonce and Shakira have recorded a duet, "Beautiful Liar," which will appear on the reissue of Knowles'"B'Day."
Beyonce said of the pairing, "I've always loved her and I've always wanted to work with her, and the song fits perfectly. It basically talks about two women; the same guy is trying to get at both of them but instead of them fighting, they're saying 'He's a beautiful liar, let's not fight, let's stick together - forget him!' I think it's a great concept."
Beyonce gave details on the revamped disc as well. The singer told MTV, "(The reissue) is a dual disc -there's music on one disc and videos on the DVD. I'm doing five new videos, so I'll have a video for every song. "
She added, "I'm actually starting on those videos (this week) and doing them all in seven days which is pretty crazy. I think it's a great concept because people can see my interpretations of the songs when they were written."
Beyonce will also be touring the UK this June, kicking things off in Birmingham on the 1st, and wrapping things up in Dublin on the 9th.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has urged Indian businessmen to step up cooperation with Russian diamond producer Alrosa now that quotas to export rough diamonds from Russian have been scrapped. "A few weeks ago I signed a decree – we abolished quotas for trade in rough diamonds – so direct contacts with Alrosa have been opened up and they have become more attractive. Please broaden your cooperation. We've got nothing against this, indeed we signed the document with this in mind," explains Putin.
Diamonds can now be exported without quantity restrictions based on licenses issued by the Economic Development and Trade Ministry. Russian diamond monopoly Alrosa Co. Ltd. has been exporting uncut diamonds under a five-year quota, which would have expired in 2008.
According to the Federal Customs Service, Russia exported 180,451 carats of rough diamonds worth US $11.5 million to India in 2005, out of total exports of 23 million carats worth US$1.658 billion in 2005.
Pink To Fur-Wearing Beyonce, “You’re A Bitch!”
Here’s a little shot of whiskey for your morning coffee. Pink recently cussed out
Beyonce Knowles — in
an interview with The News Of The World — for her nasty habit of wearing fur fashion accessories.
“Beyonce is a bitch! I only hope she gets bit on the [ass] by whatever animal she wears.”
Alright! Let’s get ready to rumble! Pink also commented on why her actions are justified,
“Some of the practices are so cruel and as a celebrity you have a responsibility to think about the
message you’re sending out by wearing fur. People will think it’s ok or cool, but it’s not.”
Will Beyonce fire back? Will Jay-Z get involved? Will another alligator be featured on her next terrible
CD? Rock On, Pink!
