A little on-screen kiss can go a long way in India! India has a strict law against obscenity in Bollywood movies & it seems a little on-screen kiss between Aishwarya Rai & co-star Hrithik Roshan in the movie Dhoom 2 is going to make a big problem! A local lawyer, Shailendra Dwivedi, who filed the complaint over the movie & the kiss said: "My conscience made me file this case. The movie cannot be watched by Indian families as it depicts vulgarity." Dwivedi is famous for filing such cases, he filed a case against Bollywood director J.P. Dutta's "LoC Kargil" after the Indian flag was shown wrongly draped. He has also filed a case against famed Indian painter M.F. Husain for painting Hindu goddesses in the nude. I was a little disappointed just because Aishwarya Rai has always talked about how she respects her countries culture and would never do anything she knows offends her people like kissing and sex scenes and then she goes ahead and does this. To ppl living in the states or the west or anywhere else it's weird to us to see someone suing an actress cuz she kissed a guy in a movie but to them it is a huge deal since it's against the law. It's a "dirty" thing to kiss in public. That's meant for the bedroom and that's not far from Islam. In Islam it's haram to even talk about your sex life to someone else. There's a hadith which I can't remember exactly but basically it says you might as well just go outside and have sex if you're going to tell everyone. Anyways, the point is kissing on screen in India is against the law and she should have known not to disrespect her country's culture and do something wrong in her environment. The Italian filmmaker Nanni Moretti has given up the job of artistic director at the Turin Film Festival, just two days after he was called to lead the event, news reports said. In a statement carried by the Italian news agency ANSA, the actor and director noted that "an atmosphere of tension" had arisen after he was named director, as some of the festival's organizers strongly objected to the choice. Katie Rees, Miss Nevada USA, is not getting her tiara back after losing it because she appeared in prurient pictures — and that's final, pageant officials said in response to speculation stirred up by the pageant's co-owner, Donald Trump. Trump, who owns the Miss Universe Organization and Miss USA with NBC, told the television show "Extra" that he was looking at the Dec. 21 decision to fire Rees, fueling buzz that she might be reinstated. Rees's lawyer had asked that his client be given a second chance similar to that given to Tara Conner, who was allowed to keep her tiara after she admitted drinking as a minor at New York nightclubs. A bodyguard for the Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai is accused of desecrating a temple in the Hindu holy town of Pushkar by entering drunk and roughing up worshippers who tried to approach the actress. Rai denied that her guard was drunk, The Hindustan Times newspaper reported. The Times of India quoted the police as saying that Rai's guards were trying to keep fans and reporters away from her. Aishwarya Rai insecure about Vidya Balan and Mallika Sherawat?

The turn of events suggest that the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai seems to be insecure about Vidya Balan and Mallika Sherawat who also star in the forthcoming film Guru .

According to the latest buzz Mani Ratnam has instructed Roger Productions, the producers, to drop Mallika and Vidya's names from the invitee list from the Toronto premiere of the film.

Rumours are that it was Ash who told Ratnam that she did not want Mallika and Vidya to make their presence felt at the gala event that is to be held in the first week of January.

Insiders have it that the way Mallika hogged the limelight in Cannes has made Ash a trifle insecure and she does not want that to happen once again.

Padam Kumar of Roger Productions admitted that Mallika and Vidya were not going to be invited to the Toronto premiere of ‘Guru’, though he refused to comment on the reason of the decision.

Starring Abhishek Bachchan in the title role, ‘Guru’ is the story of a young man in a small village of Idhar in Gujarat, who goes from rags to riches due to his sheer determination and personal drive, despite being faced with many business barriers.

‘Guru’ also stars Mithun Chakraborty and Madhavan and is scheduled to release in India on January 12, 2007.

Aishwarya Rai rides on Baadal

Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai’s latest friend happens to be a horse.

Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan are presently working in Ashutosh Gowarikar’s period movie Jodha Akbar . The director has apparently asked the movie’s stars to befriend the horses they will be riding in the movie.

Ash’s horse in the film is a healthy black creature named Baadal. Hrithik gets to ride a white horse called Chandni.

Besides getting used to riding these horses, the two stars have been trying to develop a bond with these animals.

Reports say that Ash and Hrithik are often present during the morning feed of the horses. Sometimes the actors feed the horses themselves and even take them for walks.

The trick seems to be working as Baadal and Chandni have become comfortable with Ash and Hrithik.

Gowarikar is now about to shoot war scenes for which he is said to have hired more than two hundred horses, 150 camels and 100 elephants. The war will show the battle between the Mughal emperor Akbar and the Rajputs.

The film tells a love story between Akbar and Jodha Bai, a Rajput princess. Hrithik and Ash play the two roles.

While Hrithik took training in riding horses before shooting for the movie, Ash already knew how to ride horses from her role in the Hollywood movie The Last Legion .
